Sony Pro Support Rule’s !

It seems like they have definitely upped their service. Thankfully in my 12 years of using Sony cameras, I have only had 3 times that I have had to send my equipment in for repair. This is the second time using the pro support repair department, other than cleanings. Before this, they were just sent to precision camera repair. This most recent experience was excellent..... I had called pro support on a Wednesday afternoon last week because my 70-200mm f/2.8 GM that I had purchased a few months earlier seemed to have an optical issue. The support agent was very helpful and accommodating, he said they would send out a loaner while my lens was getting repaired. Once I was off the phone I noticed that I had already got my shipping label and instructions to send the lens in for repair. I promptly packaged my lens up and headed off to FedEx. The day after I got a call from a young lady at Sony Pro support letting me know that they received my lens and gave me a tag number also she had sent me an email with the same information for my records. Then surprisingly 4 business days after I first made the phone call I get another call saying it was repaired and on it's way back to me. And remember the loaner they were sending it showed up on the same day as my fixed lens. That is awesome it was less than a week. My lens was returned with a new optical block, completely cleaned optics and exterior, also with the current firmware. So now I'm off to FedEx again to return the loaner. Sony thanks for the great service and friendly staff.
